Background
Founded in 1988 by Rick Crawford, PC Synergy is the leading supplier of automation to the retail mail and parcel industry. Servicing several major franchise groups as well as over 70% of the membership of the Associated Mail and Parcel Centers and Neighborhood Postal Centers, PC
Synergy's products, PostalMate has become the gold standard for retail shipping and point-of-sale automation.
Management Team
Rick Crawford: Founder and President
Rick Crawford has been involved in the software industry for 27 years. A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Rick spent his early career in bank data processing. After ten years of development, management and sales experience, Rick founded PC Synergy in 1988. His goal was to match the growing small package shipping industry with the emerging personal computer revolution. In 1989, PostalMate was launched and it continues to be PC Synergy’s mainstay product.
Larry Edwards: Vice President, Development
Larry has been part of the management team at PC Synergy since 1991. He oversees all product development for the company, and is the chief architect of PostalMate. He is also responsible for maintaining PC Synergy's partnerships with the shipping carriers, and works closely with key contacts in those organizations to ensure that PostalMate stays at the forefront in supporting the carriers' offerings through automation. In addition to his many years of experience in managing technical teams and projects, Larry has a strong background in retail business.
Henry Heller: Vice President, Sales
Henry became involved in the mail and parcel industry in 1990 when he opened his mail and parcel center in the San Fernando Valley. Henry joined PC Synergy in 1996 and is frequently called upon to speak at meetings, conventions and on panel discussions on many industry related topics.
Julianna Shapiro: Vice President, Marketing
Julianna has been with PC Synergy since 1996. Julianna's extensive retail background as well as a decade of experience as a trainer in the Mail and Parcel Industry has made her an often recognized figure in the industry. Julianna works with PC Synergy's Certified Partners as well as Franchise and Corporate customers. She also provides training at industry functions for both the independent and franchise sectors of the industry.
