Thus PC Synergy was born. Rick studied every nuance of the retail shipping process, and talked to dozens of store owners and franchisors to identify needs and friction points. He also developed relationships with the shipping carriers, who recognized the need for good retail automation. Ultimately, Rick and his small team built an application that revolutionized retail shipping with its innovative rate comparison design and technology. It was called “PostalMate,” and it was a home run.
PC Synergy grew quickly by providing innovative solutions based on user feedback. PostalMate took complex operations—which later, based on demand, grew to include POS and mailbox management—and made them fast, simple and intuitive. Stores using PostalMate became more profitable and successful. And, as a result, so did PC Synergy. That’s how partnerships work.
